Traumatized!!

L.J. was bitten today in nursery! Not once, but 5 times (three on his arm and two on his FACE)! And not one of his three teachers saw it happen! No, I am not okay! L.J. is fine (of course, nothing phases him)and none of the bites broke the skin. But I just can not get over the fact that he was bitten FIVE times and no one saw anything! I love my church and this is the first time anything like this has happened, but I just can't see how this isn't negligent. Daddy and I are both very upset to say the least and to be honest really don't know how to deal with the situation. We decided to wait until tomorrow before we called the church, so that we could calm down and so that we could let people enjoy their Sunday. I can't believe this happened. Feel free to share my outrage and/or give any advice on what you think we should do.

Off to the Zoo

I hope this works okay. I have included a link to our pictures from the zoo, just click on the title and it should take you there. It was a beautiful day and L.J. was amazingly well behaved! The zoo was practically empty and we got to see all of the animals.

Do you ever get tired?

I feel tired all the time, not the "I've got a toddler and am 27 weeks pregnant" tired, but the "am I really making a difference, does it even matter" kinda tired. Tired of trying. I was so blessed this morning to come across these verses and I hope they will bless you as well.

Galatians 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

2 Tim 4:7-8 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”

Everyday is a struggle for me, in some way. Not that I don't have great days, but there is always something. I am encouraged this morning, not to give up. That even though I am tired, it does matter! So today I choose to fight the good fight, to run the race set out before, and to keep the faith! I hope you do too!

Born to Ride!

He loves to ride his "bike" or anyone's "bike" for that matter. He pushes it, rides on it, climbs on it, everything! In case you didn't notice, he also got a haircut.

Ta-Da!! Look What We Did!!!

Posted by Picasa

I am SO EXCITED!! I have been on the hunt for curtains for Bailey's room. I finally found some, but they were way too expensive (or I'm way too cheap). So I found a set of sheets that I liked and decided to sew my own. John took down the blinds, put up the new shade, installed the new curtain rod, and hung the curtains. We will have a set of white curtains that go up in between these 2 panels, but for now this is what we have and I love it! John & I both worked really hard on it, so if you don't like it, don't mention it ;)

I gave LJ his pancake to eat this morning and turn around to finish cooking the rest of the batter. When I finish, this is how I find him, sitting outside, eating his pancake, watching the birds & squirrels.

Monkey Life

Bailey & I had another appt. this morning, all is well. LJ climbs EVERYTHING! The only thing in our house he can not reach is the plant shelf, which even John has to have a ladder for. He talks all the time, most of the time you can understand him. Occasionally I need to translate. For example: pie-pie = french fry, ta-ta = strawberries, or baby = yogurt (there is a picture of a baby on his yogurt, so we have always called it "baby"). Oh, and joy of all joys, he now throws fits! Total tantrums! Call me a bad Mommy if you want, but I just leave him there and walk away. It beats the heck out of spanking him a thousand times a day. At least this didn't start in my first trimester ;)

The Penguin Theif

He was so happy to find this penguin in a bag of toys I had packed away. He emptied the entire bag until he found this penguin. He was so proud of himself.
