First BIG Boo-Boo
L.J. had his first big boo-boo today. We were all at the store this morning and L.J. was getting restless (go figure) so Daddy was going to pick him up and carry him on his shoulders. He grabbed his hands and started to lift at the exact moment when L.J. decided this was not what he wanted and went completely limp. The combined force dislocated this elbow, what they call nurse-maids elbow. We were right around the corner from the pediatrician, so we took him in. Daddy, of course, was racked with guilt! I thought it was his shoulder, but the doctor said it was probably his elbow. He tried FIVE times to reset it with no avail, so he sent us to OrthoCarolinas Urgent Care office downtown. Mind you L.J. has not stopped crying this entire time, nor has he allowed me to put him down or even sit down. He finally fell asleep in the car on the way there. He woke up just before they called us back. The doctor ordered x-rays, just to be sure, and while the x-ray techs were positioning his arm for the x-rays it finally popped back into place. After that he was perfectly fine! Nana met us up there with food and moral support. She had to go with him for his x-rays since I can't. No lie ya'll the lady actually looked at me and said. "is there any possibility you could be pregnant?" Gee, ya think!?! Anyways, we let him spend the rest of the afternoon playing with Nana & Sue. Daddy put him back down for another nap around 4:30pm and he has been out ever since. I went in to try to wake him so I could feed him dinner and put on his pj's, but he was not having any of it. Poor kid was pooped! Here's to an uneventful Sunday!

In Iraq
Its been a few days since I last heard from Kenny, but at last check he was doing okay. He is sick, just a sinus infection or something of that sort I think. Mom or Tiffany one is sending him some cold medicine. I guess that's it for now, just wanted everyone to know he was still alive and mostly well ;)

Long Days in Iraq
Kenny called Mom this evening around 10pm. He said the weather was better now only 95 to 100 degrees now. Last week it was 120 to 130. They are working 12 hour days still getting their gear unpacked and trying to swap out with the unit they are replacing. He said everything is crowded with 2 units on base but it should be better in a few days as the other unit leaves. His day right now consists of getting up early to try to get to a phone, eating breakfast, working 12 hrs and going to sleep, repeat. He said he hopes things settle down once they get unpacked and set up. He ran out of minutes on the phone card and had to hang up. He did say as soon as he got an email connection he would email a mailing address. Right now, Gatorade packets and AT&T phone cards are all he needs. He will let me know more later.

Breaking News
Kenny is in Iraq
Kenny left Sunday morning (I think, I haven't quite figured out the time difference yet) for Iraq. Either way, he should be there now. He will be living in a big tent, with A/C. He is having trouble using his computer so that is one of my prayer requests now. His computer would enable him to use his web-cam to make video calls so we could see & hear him. Please pray that there would be an easy way for this to happen, it would help put everyone's mind at ease, as well as ease the expense of calling cards. I'll let you know when I hear more.
The Maw-Maw
Many thanks to the Maw-Maw, without whom this trip would not have been possible. She took it all in stride too, like a true mother. She put up with my wicked mood swings, LJ's crankiness, and the fact that it rained almost the entire time. LJ was of course, stuck to her like glue. We dare not make a move without MawMaw, I'm not making this up people, we couldn't even go to the elevator from our hotel room w/o her. LJ loves him some MawMaw! I do too! Thanks Mom!
Beach Baby
My Boys!
Charleston
I'm ready for the beach now! He loved to carry this backpack.
In the rain. I wish I could explain to you how funny it is to see him play in the rain. He loves to just play in the rain!
"A Neigh-Neigh!" We took a carriage tour while in Charleston, but took a tour of the barn first and LJ nearly came unhinged!
