This is What Homebirth Looks Like
This is what homebirth looks like. It's not scary. It's not dirty. It's beautiful and peaceful and amazing. Please consider joining www.ncfom.org to support legislation in NC to recognize Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs). Without them, homebirth in most of NC would be impossible! I know that homebirthing is not for everyone, but don't you think each woman has the right to decide that for herself. Just as a lot of you would be offended by being told that you must homebirth, I am equally offended by being told that I must birth in a hospital. So please join, write a letter or call your representatives, or join us on Wednesday in Raleigh, to show your support!
This Is How We Roll
Literally, we roll sometimes (one of our hampers is on wheels). All of the kids have "jobs". L.J. vaccuums, Bailey does the dishes & helps cook, & Olivia helps with laundry & feeds the dog. Now "help" from an 18 month old might look a little different. But this is a pretty good example. She gets in the hamper and then I push her to the washing machine. Then I set her on on the dryer while we load the washer, she adds the soap. Then we load back up in the hamper and head back to the bedroom. She LOVES it! And while it may take a little longer to do the laundry I think it's worth the investment.
The Ragamuffin Crew
My kids have been blessed with some pretty amazing friends. Every now and I they get the priviledge of spending some quality time together. Here they all are, in their pajamas, "pretending" they are going to go to bed peacefully ;) Thank you Ms. Jamie for sharing your sweet family with us and your wonderful friendship with me.
