Introducing ...

Olivia Jane, born at home at 3:00 am July 25, 2009. She was born in the tub, a happy little water baby, she barely even cried. She was 8 lbs. 4 oz., 20 1/4 inches long, for the sake of comparison that is 1/4 inch shorter and 1 oz heavier than L.J. and 1 lb. 1 oz. lighter and 1 3/4 inch shorter than Cissy. Welcome the world baby girl!

L.J. and Olivia immediately after she was born.

Bailey and Olivia after Bailey finally woke up the next morning.

L.J. and Olivia napping together. L.J. went home with Nana after Olivia was born, but it was all he could do to stay away for one night. When he came home, he would only take a nap if we let Olivia nap with him. So we wheeled the bassinet into the living room and let them nap together. They are so cute!!

Our Morning Craft Project

When we don't have anywhere to go and there is nothing to do ... and even Mommy is bored. We break out the crafts! Today we made indian "hats". On the back of the feathers is what we are thankful for. Cissy won't wear hers, she thinks it should be a bracelet and L.J. won't take his off. Hope you enjoy my little hams.

The Brown Tea Party

For those of you who don't know, boys don't go to tea parties because they are pink. So when Cissy and I went to our Tea Party, L.J. went to Nana's to have a "brown" tea party with Daddy (only for boys). He had such a good time. He made the placemats, the sandwiches, pretzels, & brownies (catching the "brown" theme). He asks all the time now, when he can have another brown tea party :)

Introducing My Little Photographer!

I let L.J. "play" with my camera the other day and he is really quite good (considering he is only 3). These are all pictures that he has taken himself. I edited them ... he still has a little problem with centering ;)

Cloe's Tea Party

We got all dressed up and went to our friend, Cloe's, for a tea party! We had a great time! We had tea, crackers with cheese, fruit and of course, tea-cup cakes for dessert! Ms. Jamie did a fantastic job! Hopefully, the other ladies got more/better pictures than I did. Cissy did really well considering she is sick. Its just a cold, but it is kicking her little butt. She fell asleep in the car on the way there and on the way home.

Mommy's Little Helper

L.J. decided that he wanted to feed Cissy this morning. He has never fed her in the past, so I don't know what prompted this. But he went and got her and brought her over to the table. He picked her up and put her in her booster chair. He buckled her in and moved his chair over to her and then fed her. And she let him! I must say I was shocked at how smoothly it all went. He is so awesome! Now don't get me wrong, I was ready to strangle him yesterday, so he's no perfect kid. But he's mine and I think I'll keep him ;)

Happy Springtime!

I know you probably don't care but it matters to me, therefore you will be forced to endure ;)
This is my gardenia bush. John nearly killed it, but it has made its way back to life and has just begun to bloom!

This is my calalily, which I truely cherish. It is such a sweet little blessing from God. I had been looking at calalilies at Lowe's for weeks, but they are so expensive and just not in the budget. I went to go clear out a few things from the side yard (aka: wild america) and found my cala! I did not plant her, she must be remnant from the previous owner (we've lived here for 6 years now). God is so good to me!

This is my rose plant. It has not yet begun to bloom, but she is in fact no small miracle herself. John tried to kill her as well. He cut her off at the root but somehow she made it! I'm glad that I took this picture when I did b/c not 20 minutes later, L.J. took his scissors to it ... like father like son I guess. He cut off both blooms, I thought I was going to cry! I cut the thorns off and trimmed them up, hopefully they will bloom in the vase.

This is the little snapdragon that could. All of my plants are somewhat a miracle, I suppose. This one is Cissy's favorite. She pulls the blooms off of it and brings them to me. Or she pulls the whole plant out of the ground and brings it to me. Its been replanted twice now.
