Baby Talk
This is me and my little buddy, Jeremy. We hang out all the time. Today I was trying to tell him how to eat big boy food, not that silly baby food.

Handsome Baby
His hair is finally long enough to actually brush to the side. I can not believe he is so big! His newest adventure is eating. I was thinking about changing his nickname from "Monkey" to "Baby Billy Goat". I'm serious the kid eats anything that doesn't eat him first, except of course, baby food. He will not use baby utensils either, only adult forks and spoons. He's so strong-willed, he gets that from his Daddy. To date he has eaten: carrots, peas, mashed potatoes, green beans, baked beans, chicken, rice, oatmeal, rice crispies, corn flakes, pasta, and lots of peaches!

Dan Nicholas Park
Oh what a day we had! Me, Mommy, & Daddy went to Salisbury to pick up PawPaw so we could go to the park. I played with the fishes and the (very pregnant) ducks. I saw bears and snakes and owls and some very ingenious squirrels. I ate lots of peaches and got wet in the water mist. At the end of the day I was worn out! But we had a blast! If only Charlotte had parks this nice.

Favorite Food
If you have been around my son at all lately you realize that his favorite food is paper. He loves paper! Well we don't actually let him eat it, just rattle it around and crinkle it up, at least that's what I thought. Daddy informed me this morning that he had eaten red paper. I said, "how do you know?" He said, "because it looks the same way coming out as it did going in!" Good Times!
The Monkey's Nemesis
My son is a brut. Few things scare him, actually only one thing to date. The Winnie-the-Pooh jack-in-the-box. That's right, the boy that watches thunderstorms is afraid of that silly little bear. I can't believe it either, but its true. MawMaw didn't believe me until she sang him the jack-in-the-box song and he completely freaked out! Who knew? Oh well, it could be worse. At least I can hide "the Pooh".
Our trip to Grandpa's, the good, the bad, & the ugly.
Mostly good, but the bad and the ugly came first. We left Friday night hoping that the baby would sleep on the way down. John was going to drive first, then I would pick up about half way through. All was going well until the baby woke up. I climbed into the backseat and got him out of the carseat to nurse him so he would go back to sleep. It was all I could do to keep from throwing up all over him. He finished and I put him back in his seat and climbed back into the front, hoping against hope it would pass. It didn't. We had to pull over, but the night air made me feel well enough to keep going. So I popped some dramamine and hopped in the driver's seat. Well that lasted about 10-15 mins and I had to pull over on the side of the interstate (about 10 miles north of Atlanta) and yak my guts out. So we decided to stop and get a hotel for the night and try again in the morning. After that it was smooth sailing! I drove the whole way and the baby slept almost the whole way. Once we arrived it was nearly naptime again, but once he saw Grandpa it was all over! Those two could not get enough of each other. They played and laughed and walked and ate and played and laughed ... if I weren't still nursing I don't think I'd would have held my son at all. Grandma Cathy was loads of fun as well. She found all sorts of things he just loved to play with, especially her hair! We all had such a great time, thanks Dad! You are a fabulous Grandpa! Unfortunately we did have to leave. The ride home was uneventful, as ever parent hopes it is. But that poor little monkey, once he realized there was no more Grandpa around, it was just sad! But I talked to Grandpa today and we've got another trip in the works, so we'll see. Hopefully that monkey won't have to wait too long.
Coincidence, I think not!
Poor Brittany!
Brittany was such a champ. This little monkey chased her all over the house, all day long. And bless her heart, once he actually got her, he nearly ripped her hair out. He's not the most gentle of babies just yet. Finally, by the last day Brittany just laid down in defeat, accepting her fate at the hands of the mighty little one!
Chillin' in my Ride!
Hysterics!
